Wayland

The Wayland neighborhood of Providence, located in the east side of Providence is home to some of the most architecturally significant and historic homes in the city, as well as Blackstone Park. Wayland Square is one of the commercial centers of the area, known for its retail shopping and dining establishments. Wayland is also home to the Red Bridge, which was the first bridge over the Seekonk River built in the early twentieth century. Streets that run through Wayland include Medway, Waterman and Angell Streets.
